This Privacy Policy describes how ACDC jobs (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you visit acdcjobs.com (the “Site”), including ACDC jobs. It is written to meet Google AdSense and Google Analytics disclosure requirements, and to explain our own account, profile, and job-matching features.

Who we are
We provide a job discovery and tracking service: listings collected from public company career pages, application tracking, optional CV-based matching, and community discussion. We are not an employer and are not affiliated with the companies whose roles appear here.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details when you sign in (email address, display name, and a unique user ID from Google Firebase Authentication).
- Profile data you choose to save, including location, skills, work history, and other resume fields.
- CVs or resumes you upload so we can extract skills and match you to jobs.
- Posts, comments, likes, job applications you track, and job reports you submit.
- Messages sent through the contact form (name, email, and message body).
Information collected automatically
- Log data such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps.
- Approximate location derived from IP address and, when you allow it, a location you type or save on your profile. We use this to show relevant jobs. We do not collect precise GPS coordinates.
- Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies described below.
Cookies and similar technologies
We and our partners store or access cookies, device identifiers, and similar information on your device. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may limit sign-in, theme preference, or location memory.
- Essential cookies — authentication/session so you stay signed in, and security.
- Preference cookies — theme (light/dark) and remembered location filters.
- Analytics cookies — Google Analytics (GA4) to understand how the Site is used.
- Advertising cookies — Google AdSense and its partners, used to show ads (including personalized ads) based on your visits to this Site and other sites.
Google Analytics

We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this Site or other websites. How we use information
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and job feed.
- Create and manage accounts, profiles, and application tracking.
- Match uploaded CVs to job listings when you use that feature.
- Show location-relevant jobs and government listings.
- Respond to contact messages and job reports.
- Measure usage, prevent abuse, and keep the Site secure.
- Show advertising as described above.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information with:
- Service providers that host the Site, send email (for contact and reports), authenticate users (Google Firebase / Google sign-in), and provide analytics and advertising (Google).
- The public when you publish a public profile, post, or comment — that content is visible to other visitors.
- Authorities when required by law or to protect the Site, our users, or others.
Job listings themselves come from public employer career pages. Applying on an employer site is subject to that employer’s privacy policy, not ours.
Data retention
Account and profile data are kept while your account is active. Uploaded CVs and derived profile fields remain until you delete them or close your account. Contact and report emails are retained as needed to handle the request. Analytics and advertising data are retained according to Google’s policies. Server logs are kept for a limited period for security and operations.
Your choices and rights
- Update or delete profile and CV data from your account settings.
- Sign out and, where supported by Google, disconnect Google sign-in.
- Control cookies in your browser, and opt out of personalized ads as linked above.
- Email help@acdcjobs.com to request access, correction, or deletion of personal data we hold, or to ask questions about this policy.
Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, UK, or California), you may have additional rights such as access, erasure, restriction, portability, and the right to object to certain processing. We will honour valid requests as required by applicable law.
Children
The Site is intended for people looking for work and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
International transfers
We and our processors (including Google) may process information in countries other than yours. Those countries may have different data-protection laws.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
